Happy St. Patrick’s Day on Monday. Wearing ‘o the green is encouraged, but not required.
At last! Characters! Some of you have been chomping at the bit to do characters – others – not so much.
Please note that these assignments are slightly out of order than arranged in the workbook. So, please read carefully.
Your Written and Recorded Assignment for Monday, March 17, 2014 is detailed on Page 31 of your Workbook. Please DO NOT USE the text from “Big Refrigerator Company – the toaster” for this exercise. We will be using that copy for another exercise. But any of the other scripts in Chapter 14 of your Textbook is OK to pick from. Have a character developed, named, etc. – record the script using that character and have it ready for playback in class when you are called upon. REMEMBER – I want to hear something very different from you own natural speaking voice for this exercise. Can’t do characters!? Yes, you can. Everyone can do something…try not to let your intellectual side stifle your creative side.
If you forget how to fill out the boxes in the provided character breakdown grid on page 31, then flip back a couple of pages for the detailed instructions on what should go in those boxes. Please DO NOT fill in the blanks on Pages 28 and 29 yet! That is for a different assignment, but it will provide you with additional information in order to fill out the grid on page 31.
Additional Written Assignment for Monday – Turn in your Character Listening Grid – Page 12.
