Turn in your Cartoon Grids on Monday. Start listening to the material listed in the three remaining graded grids in your workbooks. Documentaries, Non-broadcast/Marketing/Training/Website videos, and IVR/Voicemail.
Those will be due down the road a bit.
We will finish up with the Mid-Term playbacks on Monday and hopefully be able to get started on the new assignment (Chapter 18 of your textbook) on Wednesday.
Please use the Character Breakdown questions on Pages 29 and 30 of your Workbook to do this exercise. Please NOTE: This is a change from what I was planning to do. The character breakdown questions are good, but don’t be confused by the reference to creating the character from a picture. We have focused so much on commercials, I wanted to give you a chance to do some different kinds of scripts in order to help you figure out what you might be good at.
So, pick one of the scripts from Chapter 18 starting on page 219. Please read this carefully – as I do NOT want you to do a few of the scripts in this chapter – AND for some others I want you to do Group of 3 (ABC) reads.
Good versus Evil – Pick one for this exercise
Math Fun – Don’t do this one
Military Action – If you pick this one, you need to record each line 3 times.
Western Round-Up – If you pick this one, you need to record each line 3 times.
Space Attack – again, read each line 3 times.
Duck! – Don’t do this one
Sam the Fighter – Don’t do this one
Clown Fighter – Read it at least three times. You may not be able to do each line individually 3 times, so read the whole paragraph three times.
Cutie Doll – Don’t do this one
Fantasy Life – Pick one for this exercise and record each line 3 times.
Power Up – Don’t do this one
