We are moving on to “Real Person” commercial reads. Remember that these scripts are not beating you over the head with sell – they are much more soft sell – with some spots never even talking about the product. You have seen a couple of examples of that so far this semester.
The copy in the book is mostly selling something and you will find a few key messages, but they won’t be filled with words like “introducing,” or “new,” or “now.”
Think super conversational – even more than you are finding in the Spokesperson reads. You should find that it is easier to create a believable scenario of who you are and who you are talking to!
